About Me
Since I was a young child my mother regularly practiced calligraphy and instilled an appreciation for letterforms in me at a very young age. I would spend hours imitating her handwriting. As I grew older I began developing my own styles. Today this day, I remain intensely fascinated with hand-written letters as well as type.
Album artwork is what initially drew me into the world of design. Beginning in elementary school, continuing through high school, I would try to recreate my favorite album artwork by hand. Over the years I have designed flyers and album covers for my bands.
In 2006 I began working part time for a friend’s parents’ print shop. It was here that I learned basic knowledge of the programs in Adobe Creative Suite. The practical design and production skills I picked up while working here have helped me tremendously with my coursework in the department of Design and Industry at San Francisco State University.
In my life after San Francisco State, I would like to work somewhere in the field of type design (perhaps even teaching a course in typography) or for bands, designing album covers.
Six words that describe me are: curious, stubborn, laid-back, secretive, humorous, happy.
